Depite the fact that Anet has made it crystal clear that the cap ain't ever going to go up, every once in a while some newbie still seems to think its a new and original idea when they decide it should go up.

Although the OP is wrong (imo) and the level cap should stay where it is (no matter how detrimental it is from a long-term pve perspective) he/she is (I imagine) perfectly within his/her rights to discuss it without being shot down in flames.....

This is a good idea. Everyone stop and read it twice. Like has already been said, this accomplishes what these people want: it feeds the ego, but keeps the balance in the game.

Not meant to justify flaming, but it probably wouldn't happen if this topic hadn't been beaten to death a hundred times over by now, despite the fact that Anet was pretty clear on their intentions.

OK I see some ppl dont agree with me but thats ok.
First once your lvl 20 whats the point in quest, and all the later quest are week and not worth while( excepte the 2 quest wilth +15 attribute point)
The second one is just an idee, it they could put even more powerfull stuff, open more area and maybie even interact with the gods, but only if your lvl 30 for example. so it be kind of a holy status.
As for the third one its also just an idee.

I think also ppl are arguing about raising lvl cap because theirs not much to do.
sure theirs the misson, but doing them once is enof for many ppl.
Quest....you beat them there done.
Underworld and Fissure of Woe, great but they can get frustating some time specialy with the favor.
PvP, you get annoyed after the same thing over and over.
Tombs, that Korean team always anoying you or is it the fact your not rank 3 and no one wants you.
Exploring, whats the point, no worth while rewards or anything (unless your lucky). GvG, not all guild are as active as that.
They should come out with more stuff to do, then maybie the lvl cap probleme will be solve.

This is possibly the worst English I've ever seen... on a change of subject... I never seen anyone type Kuz.... when sound like Kur-zzz, its better with a Cuz.

On another note allow me to remain you of one of the forum guidelines:

Do Not Abuse The English Language
This is a message board, not an AOL chatroom. As such, you have all the time necessary to articulate your posts in a coherent matter. "You" is only two more letters than "u", it won't kill you to type them. Completely illegible posts are subject to moderation - and I can't guarantee their accuracy of 'translating' the authors original message, if you get my drift. When one punctuation works (like a ?) instead of 10 (like ?!?!), use one.
In any case there would be no point in adding any type of level gain, even if there was no benefits... would just cause confusing and increase griefing of newbies by people who play more.

This game mostly rewards skill and teamwork, not time spent playing.

Guild Wars, in contrast, is based around your skill as a player. Our maximum level is twenty and you hit that very quickly, after about 20-30 hours of play. ,We call that 'The Point of Ascension'. Almost all of the content in the game and in the future Chapters is only available to Ascended characters, which means we don't have to worry about providing different levels of content. All the good stuff will be available to everyone. It's not our intent to force people onto the levelling up treadmill, so the level cap in Guild Wars is almost meaningless.

I'm convinced that a year from now people will still be bringing this up, and I'm just as convinced it will still be 20.

I have no problem with the lvl cap at 20. However, I do think that the exp points are over-rated. Most skills I've collected will never be used, and there are just too many. I really feel there should be a way to earn more attribute points as a reward for continued play after one finishes all the missions. Perhaps after every 5 lvl20 lvls an attribute point can also be rewarded, or another quest for ascended characters only (aside from Heros Journey) to get another 15 points, whatever. I don't think that would make a character uber-powerful, but reward their continue efforts in a real way. I'm also one of those who don't enjoy PvP, so any rewards there are irrelevant to me. So yes, while the cap should stay at 20, IMO, there should be some other form of rewards other than just more skill points for the continued devotion of PvE players.
